1. Cancellation & Refund Overview

At One World Travel & Tours Ltd., we strive to provide a fair and transparent cancellation process. However, as a Tour Operator, we are bound by the strict cancellation policies of our third-party suppliers (Airlines, National Parks, Hotels).

 

2. Cancellation Timeframes

 
  • Standard Cancellation: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service time are eligible for a refund, subject to the deduction of non-refundable deposits and administrative fees.

     
  • Late Cancellation / No-Show: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service, or failure to show up for the tour/transfer, are 100% non-refundable.

3. The Booking Deposit

The 15% Deposit paid to confirm your reservation is non-refundable. This amount covers administrative costs, reservation holding fees, and pre-payments made to secure your slot.

 

4. Non-Refundable Items

Certain components of your travel package are strictly non-refundable once booked, regardless of when you cancel:

  • Flight Tickets: Subject to the specific airline’s fare rules (mostly non-refundable).

  • Park Fees & Permits: Government fees for Kilimanjaro, Gorilla Trekking, or National Parks are often non-refundable once paid to the authorities.

  • Visa Fees: Payments made for visa assistance services.

5. Refund Processing

  • If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original method of payment (e.g., via PesaPal back to your credit card).

  • Processing Time: Please allow 7–14 business days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing times.

  • Transaction Fees: Any transaction fees incurred during the booking or refund process (bank charges, gateway fees) will be deducted from the final refund amount.

6. Changes by the Company (Force Majeure)

In the event that One World Travel & Tours Ltd. must cancel a tour due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or events beyond our control (Force Majeure):

  1. We will offer a free rescheduling of the tour to a later date.

  2. If rescheduling is not possible, a refund will be offered (excluding any unrecoverable third-party costs like issued flight tickets).
